Independent Americans

The Fifteen Principles

  • Principle 1

Faith in God and a belief in moral law is essential to maintain freedom.

  • Principle 2

Government's Sole Function is to protect natural rights such as life, liberty, and property.

  • Principle 3

The United States Constitution is both inspired and binding.

  • Principle 4

Limited and balanced government is the solution to invasion from without and from anarchy from within

  • Principle 5

Government and individuals are to be held to the same standards in regards to the crimes they commit.

  • Principle 6

Under no circumstances shall the freedoms guaranteed by the Bill of Rights be infringed.

  • Principle 7

Our American Republic invites prosperity; the infusion of Communism invites slavery.

  • Principle 8

Socialism is an unconstitutional usurpation of power and a denial of the right of private property.

  • Principle 9

All taxes should be uniform and at the same impartial rate.

  • Principle 10

The United States Constitution requires a circulating medium that is convertible into gold and silver without loss.

  • Principle 11

States are sovereign and should not be 'commanded' by the Federal Government.

  • Principle 12

No state or local government can accept funds from the Federal Government and remain independent.

  • Principle 13

Funds from the U.S. Treasury should not be gifted to other nations or their citizens.

  • Principle 14

The Constitution trumps all foreign treaties or agreements.

  • Principle 15

Our national defense should remain strong and never be under the control of foreign entities.

  • If you agree with these fifteen principles,
    consider yourself an Independent American!

Those of us who have a conviction of these correct principles of government must stand together, speak and act as one united voice if we are going to preserve this nation. As you contemplate whether you should stand up and do something or sit still and maintain your silence, please consider these inspiring words from Ezra Taft Benson.

There are people today all over the world who in their own courageous and sometimes quiet ways are working for freedom. In many cases we will never know until the next life all they sacrificed for liberty.

The only questions, before the final victory, are, first, What stand will each of us take in this struggle? and second, How much tragedy can be avoided by doing something now?...

To the patriots I say this: Take that long eternal look. Stand up for freedom, no matter what the cost. Stand up and be counted. It can help to save your soul and maybe your country."

    - Ezra Taft Benson, Secretary of Agriculture, Eisenhower Administration

Every generation of free men and women has had to bear the responsibility of stepping forth to preserve liberty in their own time.

    You are NOT alone!
